ScootPad Renews Digital Promise Certification

ScootPad has renewed its Digital Promise certification for Research-Based Design for Instructional Learning. The certification serves as a rigorous, reliable signal for district and school leaders, educators, and families evaluating edtech products with a confirmed basis in research about learning.

As part of its certification, the ScootPad team at Learning Explorer submitted evidence to Digital Promise confirming a link between research on how students learn and ScootPad’s product design. ScootPad was acquired by the Learning Explorer company from the ACT® non-profit testing organization in February 2023 and received one of the initial product certifications for research-based design awarded by Digital Promise in 2021.

“We are thrilled to be awarded the Digital Promise certification for Research-Based Design for Instructional Learning,” said Mark Rankovic, Learning Explorer president and CEO. “While several education products offer adaptive and gamified learning experiences, ScootPad’s design is informed by cognitive, learning, and statistical research. This foundation of research powers the platform’s continuous, automatic scaffolding of instruction for each student and application of real-time intervention and remediation.”
