New from ScootPad: Math Facts Module

At ScootPad, innovation is in our blood. We continuously re-imagine how technology can make a difference. We’re also passionate about helping teachers and students have the best learning experience possible. With this in mind, we are pleased to announce that the new Math Facts Module (Fact Fluency) is currently available for your students ahead of the new school year! This new improvement represents #2 of the 10 improvements we will have ready before you head back!

Read below to learn more about this new module.

1.Fact Fluency Settings

Students are expected to have a good conceptual understanding of the four operations:  addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. This new module allows you to place learning on auto-assign if you would like your students to automatically move to the next operation. Simply change the setting to ” Manual” from the Fact Fluency settings page and you can control when students move on. Notice that operations will include operands up to 10 by default but you can adjust this to 12. In addition, to master a fact, students must accurately recall the fact at least three times consecutively within the specified speed threshold. We recommend the following speed thresholds: Grades K-1 (10 sec), Grades 2-4 (3 sec), Grades 5-6 (2 sec), and Grades 7-8 (1 sec)

2. Fact Fluency Dashboard

Navigate to the Fact Fluency Dashboard where you can see your students, their current operation, the % completed, and their mastery progress. The mastery progress legend gives you a broad overview into operations in progress, proficient, mastered, or not attempted. Click review to see individual student results!

3. Fact Fluency in Action

Your students will enjoy this new module as they race the clock to get all 30 problems solved!
