We’re super excited to announce the availability of Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) simulation assessments for grades 3-8 in Math and English Language Arts (ELA). We developed these simulation assessments from the ground-up and precisely aligned with the SBAC blueprint encompassing the same technology enhanced item formats, rigor, depth of knowledge (DOK) and Common Core standards. These practice assessments are ideal to predict skill and concept gaps while helping ensure that students are ready for SBAC summative assessments in the spring.
Teachers can simply choose a simulation assessment and assign to students. District and School administrators can “push” these assessments school-wide or district-wide to all students with just a few clicks. Students can launch assessments from their dashboard and experience the simulated SBAC summative testing environment at their finger tips. Educators have immediate access to assessment results providing actionable insights about skill gaps and overall student readiness.
We also released the Assessment Generator, a tool to help you easily generate unlimited interim assessments leveraging the best content shared by the ScootPad community. Teachers are encouraged to assign interim assessments before taking the SBAC simulated test. Furthermore, you can create your own assessment content using 50+ technology-enhanced item formats (step-by-step videos available) to develop your own assessments simulating your own SBAC testing environments.
You can access the SBAC tests by clicking on Open Platform, found under Assessments 2.0 located on the top main navigation.
Choose the standard, subject, and grade and simply click search.
Choose a section of the assessment to preview or assign.
If you need any help accessing and assigning the SBAC simulated assessments, you can follow these step-by-step instructions.
