New Features: Wall Post Profanity Filter, Practice Scratchpad, Grade Leaderboards & more

ScootPad is committed to continuously enhancing the user experience and student learning based on valuable feedback and suggestions from teachers, parents and students. We are excited to share this update which includes several new features and enhancements:

1) Class Wall: Profanity Filter & Spell Checker for Student Posts
ScootPad now checks for inappropriate words (profanity filter) and misspelled words (spell checker) in student posts. This prevents students from posting misspelled and inappropriate replies on the class wall.
2) Scratchpad for Students while practicing
Students can now open a scratchpad and use it while practicing math and reading. Clicking the “Show Scratchpad” link opens the scratchpad window which can be moved and kept anywhere on the screen while the student can continue to answer questions in the practice window.
3) Leaderboard for each grade level
Leaderboard now has a separate Top 50 list for each grade level (K – 5). Overall, Leaderboard shows Top 50 kids across ALL Grades, Each Grade Level, Classrooms and My Class (for students who are part of a classroom).
4) “Like” feature removed
Based on several requests and feedback from teachers and parents, ScootPad team has determined this feature is not as useful as envisioned and hence the Like feature has been removed.
5) Wall Post – Date & Time Posted
Now you can see when a wall post has been posted including the date and time in your local timezone.
Thank you all for your feedback and suggestions. Should you have any questions or feedback, do not hesitate to contact us.

ScootPad Team!
